Power Racks
Do you ever watch weight trainers on the Olympics? Do you ever marvel at how they can do such super-human feats? Like some sort of modern Hercules? Do you ever want to do the same thing? If so, you might want to start looking into free weights. Or maybe you’ve been doing free weight lifting for years but you want to push your training even further. Regardless of your reasons for wanting to lift amazing amounts of weight over your head, you might want to consider getting power racks before you advance your training. You stand inside the power rack with your barbell, and if you should accidently drop your barbell, the bars in the racks will catch the barbell before lands on your head, or your spine, or your foot, and causes some serious bodily harm. You should never do free weight lifting without some sort of safety mechanism in place, whether it's a rack or somebody else spotting you and you used the barbells. Safety is critical aspect for anybody who is doing fitness training or weight lifting, because the risk of injury is actually quite high. And that sort of injury could be critical to the point of fatal. Weight training is actually a safe sport, but in order for it to be a safe sport, you have to focus on safety aspects. And one of those safety aspects or safety elements is the power rack. You can also find racks used or at reduced prices, so even the price can’t be used as an excuse to not have one.
